Turo is the world’s largest peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace where you can book any car you want, wherever you want it, from a vibrant community of trusted hosts across the US, Canada, and the UK. Guests choose from a totally unique selection of nearby cars, while hosts earn extra cash to offset the costs of car ownership.

A pioneer of the sharing economy and the travel industry, Turo is a safe, supportive community over 14 million strong with more than 450,000 vehicles listed and over 850 unique makes and models available.

Whether it’s a rugged truck to help out on moving day, something smooth and buttery for a luxurious weekend away, or a vintage van for a picture-perfect road trip, Turo lets you find the perfect vehicle for your next adventure.

-We implemented an employer match for 401k.
-We increased our dependent care employer contribution to 65% of premiums.
-We put forward reimbursement opportunities for work from home equipment during the pandemic.
-We held ergonomics training sessions, estate planning sessions, and mental health/meditation sessions for our employees during the pandemic.
-Without notice, we immediately supported all of our visa-holding employees throughout the immigration changes of last summer.
-We implemented an online series of diversity, inclusion and belonging sessions as well as live "listening" and education sessions after the events of racial injustice in the summer of 2020.

Part of our Turo culture is the process of checking in with our Turists via a number of questions in our semi-annual engagement surveys. We listen to the feedback provided by our employees and make meaningful strides to take action where needed to improve the employee experience. We are proud to share that in our latest engagement survey:

96% believe that Turo is in a position to really succeed over the next three years
95% recommend Turo as a great place to work
95% feel that their manager genuinely cares about their wellbeing
94% say that their manager is a great role model for employees
94% understand how their work contributes to the goals of Turo
93% have confidence in the leaders at Turo
92% feel the leaders at Turo demonstrate that people are important to the company’s success

We take pride in our company culture and that pride only grows stronger when we are recognized as a top employer by external organizations. On Glassdoor, we have a 4.6 out of 5.0 score, a 98% CEO approval rating, and in 2019 our CEO was ranked #16 on the Glassdoor Top CEO list for Small and Medium companies. Great Place to Work and FORTUNE recently ranked Turo as #8 on their 2021 Best Workplaces in the Bay Area (Small and Medium) list. For the fifth consecutive year, Wealthfront has named us on their Career-Launching Companies list. In 2021, 2019, and 2018, we were ranked on the Best Places to Work Bay Area list by the San Francisco Business Times. For the fourth consecutive year, we were ranked on the Top Workplaces Bay Area list by the Bay Area News Group. And most recently, we were named to the 2021 Top Workplaces Arizona list by AZ Central, in addition to being ranked as a 2020 Best Places to Work Phoenix by the Phoenix Business Journal. We believe these awards and accolades validate the authenticity of our culture.

-We immediately asked that everyone work from home until there was a safe, and widespread, effective vaccine.
-We provided reimbursement for work from home equipment.
-We implemented a number of flexible, COVID-related leave policies.
-We provided all employees with an internet stipend as they worked from home.
-We offered weekly group meetings to randomly connect with others across the company in a casual, Zoom setting.

We kept culture alive despite the work from home situation during 2020. We moved to virtual onboarding yet, we still clung to our values of being:

Supportive: We help each other. We collaborate. We challenge each other. We create tools to succeed independently & as a team.
Down-to-earth: We’re humble. We’re unpretentious. We’re transparent. We lead without being arrogant. We’re well rounded.
Pioneering: We encourage people to get out of their comfort zone and try new things. We’re evolving an entire industry, so we need to be comfortable knowing there’s no playbook.
Efficient: We’re empirical. We’re rational. We use our time wisely. We react quickly.
