WNS delivers an entire spectrum of BPM solutions including industry- specific offerings, HR, customer interaction services, finance & accounting and research and analytics to re- imagine the digital future of businesses.

We have expanded our footprint in new geographies and recently acquired three organizations to expand our capabilities and client offerings. The headcount grew at more than 12%, with growth happening mainly in our international operations.

We have been engaging with an increasing number of women leaders in decision making roles in our client organizations. The Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness team (Talent Management & Organization Development wing at WNS) saw an opportunity to create a global, organization- wide Talent Initiative “Centurion”, a unique program to nurture women talent to leadership roles.

“Centurion” is our flagship program for High Potential women talent in frontline managerial level to progress into leadership roles over an accelerated period of 30 months. WNS aspires to enable 100 women leaders to take up key positions over the next 4- 6 years. This fast track global program designed for aspiring women employees to grow into leadership roles (Movement to 2 levels above the current role)

Key objectives:

-Build a talent pipeline of future women leaders through a structured development program

-Provide an aspirational and structured career progression framework for high- potential women employees

-Strengthen diversity and inclusion agenda

Key features:

The selected high potential women talent is nurtured through multi- faceted development interventions (internal and external) to build Leadership and Domain Capabilities.

-Academic certification from a premier B School (Cornell University) for general management skills

-Enriched learning experience – through role enlargement, workstream allocation, projects, allied function exposure and certifications

-Involved approach to building future leaders – through coaching, leadership connect, participation in industry forums and stimulation exercises

-Support mechanisms for women talent – guidance from internal women leaders, internal women network forums, professional career and work- life balance sessions

-The Centurions undergo a role readiness assessment at the end of the Centurion program

With successful completion of Centurion Batch 01, we have now launched (in January 2020) the Batch 02, representatives from all global locations – who will be part of this 30 months journey.

The ‘Centurion Program’ is a first- of- its- kind for two reasons:

0It is an accelerated Career Development program that aims for women managers to progress two Levels into their career in a span of 30 months

0It is exclusive to women. The program was curated and designed with the guidance and active involvement of the Chief People Office and Business Leadership

Achievements

-WNS won the “ATD Best Award for Innovative Learning Initiatives” for 2020

-With the graduation of Batch 01, we have created a sustainable talent pool of 21 women leaders to take up critical roles at WNS. This saves time and money in externally hiring women leaders

-Instrumental in building a culture to reinforce that Talent Recognition goes beyond Annual Performance Process and Payouts

-Enabled WNS to make a delta movement in the thought process of business leaders, to take a leap of faith and be a ‘Career Enabler’ for its people

-With Batch 02, we will have another talent pool of 24 women leaders

-Helps position WNS as an equal opportunity employer and contributes significantly to strengthen WNS as an Employer of Choice

-Our diversity strategies (including Centurion) have enabled an increase in women representation in the workforce to 45%, up from 39% in 2015

Centurion has become an aspirational program for our frontline women managers and women employees strive to be part of this program. Some of them have become role models for the associate and frontline manager to ??????????

Centurion – a WNS Talent Management Program for Future Women Leaders is an accelerated program for high potential women employees, to nurture them for leadership roles through a structured development journey including academic program, cross functional insights, role enrichment & mobility, competency development, coaching and leadership engagement.

With Centurion 1.0, we have been able to nurture 21 women leaders for senior leadership roles across our teams. These women employees have taken new roles in our operating ecosystem and client facing responsibility in onsite roles or solution teams.
