Since 2014, TCS has been among the top two U.S. job creators in the IT services and consulting sector, hiring more than 20,000 new employees. TCS is dedicated to enabling a future- ready workforce and offers many learning experiences that focus on reskilling and upskilling. In 2019, 90 percent of its U.S. workforce was re- skilled in the latest digital technologies, tools and platforms.

Technical Recruitment: Team is responsible for hiring of skilled professional from a field of technology. The skill requirements can be from Business Analyst to high- end digital skills, such as Pega or Appian.

Professional Recruitment is responsible for the hiring of highly skilled Senior IT Consulting, Leadership, Sales and Support professionals. An important area of the Professional recruitment team’s open requirements involve the hiring of senior level candidates in our consulting and sales units.

1000+ Campus Recruitment Hires : A strategic program equipped to support our business groups in Talent Fulfillment for entry- level positions and driving strong University relations efforts.

College hires join TCS for our flagship program called the Initial Learning Program (ILP) for 12 weeks where the idea is to create deep skilled T- shaped Ninjas, give them contextual knowledge have business aligned project readiness.

From 2019 till date, TCS has added 6400 + employees through various hiring channels, including dedicated

Technical Recruitment has added 5000 plus fulltime employees from 2019, majority of hiring in digital skills, such as Fullstack Microservices.

Since 2019, the Professional recruitment team hired 500 full time employees and 60 contractors, with an 80% joinee ratio. One of Talent Acquisition’s largest hiring numbers in consulting recruitment comes from our Consulting and Service Integration unit, in which we recruited over 180 consultants in 2019 from Big 4 companies: Deloitte, KPMG, PwC and E&Y.

The team has successfully recruited 30 top sales candidates from competitors in our industry such as Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, and Accenture.

For our Campus program, we have been bringing in 1000+ full time college hires in a single year, engaging with 113 Universities across the US in form of 30 Tech Talks, 6 fully funded Annual Hackathons, 75+ Informational
Sessions, active participation in Fall and Spring Recruiting events, productive sessions with Professors and Student clubs and hosting our own globally acclaimed Coding Contest called ‘CodeVita’, our College Hiring Team has established a strong footprint and captured mind share among students and the diverse communities we engage with

BPS Hiring: BPS/TPA joiners increased by 159 associates from 2018 with a total of 568 in 2019.

According to SHRM, the average executive cost per hire is $14, 936 and the Professional recruitment team cost per hire falls within this average. The Professional recruitment team has brought down this cost each year and despite the high volume of senior level hiring, 40% of the team’s hires were from non- external agency sources, such as job boards, social networking, passive sourcing, and employee referrals. On average, the team made around 33 full- time hires per month and around 7 hires a month per recruiter. In our industry, the average hire per month for a recruiter in executive level hiring is 4 per month.

To enable such a large/volume based campus program, our success lies in our robust process that has been set with clear guidelines to hire and leveraging our in- house technology platforms/tools. Our Recruiters come with
extensive campus recruiting experience and are also grooming fresh talent of Recruiters year on year. In an unprecedented COVID- 19 time, our teams have virtually engaged students across the US and our partner
Handshake reported – ‘Tata Consultancy Services paired digital events and campaigns on Handshake at a large scale than ever before (+40k students reached, 81% of registered students were seniors).
