ON Semiconductor is dedicated to maintaining high ethical business standards with its stakeholders. The company prides itself on being an excellent place to work and provides a positive work culture and environment by promoting its core values of integrity, respect and initiative.

In 2019, ON Semiconductor was honored as a World’s Most Ethical Company for the fourth year in a row from the Ethisphere Institute. It was one of only four honorees in the semiconductors industry category. Additionally, Forbes Magazine ranked ON Semiconductor on three main company lists including being ranked number 485 on Fortune 500: America’s Biggest Companies, number 13 on the 2018 Forbes Digital 100 and number 63 on the 100 Fastest Growing Companies.

The company is committed to a greener world by keeping sustainable operations. In 2018, ON Semiconductor was included in the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index that recognizes companies with sustainable business practices. In 2019, ON Semiconductor joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate responsibility initiative. The company introduced its own Human Rights Policy formalizing its commitment to preserving and promoting human fundamental rights.

ON Semiconductor continuously works to reduce emissions, minimize energy consumption, save water and reduce chemical usage and waste generation. ON Semiconductor focuses on being environmentally conscious through reclaim and recycle practices. In 2018, about 1,150,000 kilograms of scrap materials and 822 kilograms of precious metals were processed, sorted and sold for reuse. Additionally, in 2018 we saw a 16.8 percent energy consumption reduction, and 17.3 percent water consumption reduction (since 2016). The company also adheres to all laws and regulations and works with suppliers to certify products are free from any restricted materials and to ensure that all metals utilized are sourced from conflict-free mines.

To support and celebrate the differences and similarities employees have in the workplace and within the greater communities, ON Semiconductor celebrated Diversity and Inclusion month in April. As part of this month, the company celebrated Diversity and Inclusion week where employees took part in educational, community service, executive panel, cultural and networking activities across all 160 sites worldwide. Additionally, part of the employee culture is giving back to the community. In the past year, many employee events have benefited non-profit organizations in the health, disaster relief, environment, human services and education areas. Our Global Giving Program donated $1.58 million globally in 2018!

ON Semiconductor promotes collaboration and encourages opportunities for employees to be involved with the community through four employee Affinity Network Groups. The Employee Activity Committee finds opportunities that promote company spirit, increase morale and acknowledges the employees. The Women’s Leadership Initiative believes women play a critical role in their own career success by developing and demonstrating their business, strategic and financial acumen. STEM UP (science, technology, engineering and mathematics for underrepresented populations) works to develop and retain a diverse workforce that positively affects the company’s innovation and performance. Cultivate is committed to understanding and engaging all generations in the workplace.

ON Semiconductor is also dedicated to the health and wellness of its employees. The company offers a wide variety of events to promote health such as biometric screenings, on-site gyms, dental and mammography services and different speakers throughout the year.
