Solution Provider Essay

In 2018, Kronos ushered in a new era for human capital management (HCM) when it introduced Workforce Dimensions HCM, extending the next-generation Workforce Dimensions experience — including fully responsive design, embedded analytics, artificial intelligence, and the extensibility of a fully interoperable platform — across the entire employee lifecycle to help organizations better attract, engage, and retain talent. Workforce Dimensions HCM unifies talent acquisition and onboarding, core human resources, talent and performance management, workforce management, and payroll in a single next-generation solution to drive strategic HR decisions through real-time workforce data and features such as recruiting analytics and enhanced succession planning visualizations.

The response from the market has been remarkable: G2 Crowd, HRO Today, Software Advice (a Gartner company), and TrustRadius all recognized Kronos HCM for award-winning capabilities across Workforce Ready and Workforce Dimensions, and Ventana Research ranked Workforce Dimensions first overall in its 2019 Workforce Management Value Index as the top-rated product by capability thanks to its “robust...native-mobile, and cloud-native” features as well as AI-generated best-fit schedules and employee timecard notifications.

In the past year, Kronos rolled out AIMEE, the most advanced engine delivering Artificial Intelligence for Managers and Employees. AIMEE is focused on simplifying the clunky high-touch, low-value processes — ultimately freeing up managers to focus on more strategic initiatives in their day-to-day work and empowering employees to take control of their work-life balance by tapping into collaborative self-scheduling, real-time time-off, and shift-swap recommendations served up by an intelligence employee-facing interface.

The company continued to build on the success of Employee Perspectives, which was named the best new talent management solution by the Stevie Awards for Great Employers in 2018. Employee Perspectives is uniquely positioned to surface workforce data so that HR leaders and people managers can make more informed employee-related decisions and foster more productive conversations, ultimately empowering them to work more closely to build an engaged workforce.

It also introduced to the market the Kronos Benefits Center powered by PlanSource to streamline and automate benefits enrollment. This Benefits Center allows HR practitioners and benefits administrators to focus more time on strategic initiatives and less time on manual, repetitive processes.

Kronos Payroll Services saw exceptional market adoption, with the number of live customers growing by 2.5 times since last year, as organizations across all industries are transforming payroll processing to drive accuracy, efficiency, and visibility while mitigating compliance risk.

Organizations are eager for this new technology: In the past year alone, the number of new customers onboarding a Kronos HCM solution — in addition to their workforce management capabilities — has increased by an incredible 56%. And overall, more than two million employee licenses for Workforce Dimensions have been sold.

Most importantly, the proof is in the customer outcomes: Kronos continues to land accolades for its global focus on customer experience (CX) and success. For the 19th consecutive year, Kronos was recognized with the NorthFace ScoreBoard Award from the Customer Relationship Management Institute, as well as the top honor in the category of Innovation in Customer Service from the Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service for the Kronos Community, an online community for customers, partners, and product experts.

More than ever, the global job market is shifting in favor of the workforce: Great employees have a choice of where they want to work, and organizations that have the infrastructure and technologies to encourage work-life balance and free up managers from administrivia will have the strongest competitive advantage in the market. The future of work will favor organizations who retain and embrace the humanity of work and invest in building a highly engaged workforce to drive innovation and better business outcomes — and we’re striving to support those organizations from the ground up.
