Allianz Partners USA is a leading consumer specialty insurance and assistance company, providing insurance to over 35 million customers annually, 24/7/365.

Company leaders recognize that highly engaged associates, who are passionate about what they do, are the foundation of our success. Revenue has risen 105% over the past five years, and 30% in the past year. From the top down, engagement and workplace enhancements are emphasized.

Focus on Engagement

In 2017, 86% of our nearly 800 associates completed our annual engagement survey. The resulting 77% engagement exceeds AON’s mid-60s benchmarks for North America over the previous five years and exceeds the global Allianz engagement of 72%.

Our Differentiators

New performance management processes emphasize collaboration, customer/market excellence,
entrepreneurship and trust. Diversity, Inclusion, Integrity and Social Responsibility score high in our survey, supporting associate attraction and retention. Our comprehensive Total Rewards package—large and small financial and non-financial rewards—extends to full- and part-time associates. Beginning in 2017, we enhanced Total Rewards through:

Commitment to compensation: In 2016, $15/hour became our minimum base entry-level pay. We added to that in 2017, when, every associate became eligible for incentives based on individual and company results, paying out even when associates’ performance slips below satisfactory.

Affordable benefits coverage: In 2016 and 2017, the company paid the difference when medical premiums increased so that the associate’s medical premium did not increase. AON studies show our company contributions toward premiums and Healthcare Spending Accounts exceed benchmark (+7ppts, +20ppts respectively).

Family bonding: Recognizing parenthood’s importance, we launched parental leave benefits, offering the choice between two additional weeks of paid leave following birth/adoption and a $2,500 one-time bonus.

Flexibility to meet personal needs: Responding to customer service associates looking for more flexible
schedules; we offer both a 30- or 60-minute lunch and a 37.5 or 40 workweek. Additionally, all exempt associates now qualify for unlimited time off, providing additional flexibility and work-life balance.

Support of career development: We enhanced current all-associate offerings (including include onsite career coaches and tuition reimbursement) with company-paid membership to LinkedIn Learning for anytime-anywhere training. Additionally, a new Talent Share program allows associates to work temporarily in other areas/roles for up to six months, creating opportunities to enhance skills and gain experience. Of note: about a third of our openings fill through internal movement, underscoring the success of our programs.

Comprehensive wellness programs: We encourage physical, mental and financial health through a
comprehensive wellness program that received Sports Backers' ActiveRVA workplace certification 2014 through 2018. New is student loan refinancing/consolidation, providing meaningful savings. This joins other constantly updated programs: onsite cafés, gym, walking path, outdoor ping-pong (2017 addition), lunch-and-learns, onsite screenings—reducing stress, and encouraging healthier eating and activity.

Community Involvement: We hire associates “with heart,” who are very customer-centric. That sense of caring extends to our community:

All associates receive a paid Volunteer Day Off to volunteer at organizations of their choice, in addition to
company-sponsored events. With company events, about a third of associates volunteer +900 hours
annually at diverse organizations—blood drives, meal packaging and food drives, and events supporting
inclusion, mental health, housing, the environment, special education and more.

We were recently recognized by FeedMore, the local food bank, for providing over 60,000 healthy meals to our community.
