Sustainable continuous improvement is vital to Accedia’s success as both a service provider and an employer.
Since 2017 the company has achieved a staggering 80% in business growth and a tremendous talent retention success – a result оf the company’s ongoing efforts on fostering a culture of trust and a radically transparent environment.
To accommodate growth, Accedia is currently on the move to a new office, designed to reflect the company values and vision for future. A top floor recreation area, overlooking the Vitosha mountain, creative brainstorming zones, an exclusive Innovation Development Center (IDC) room with cutting-edge gadgets and devices, will all be in place to take creativity and teamwork to a new level. The relocation will also embrace the company green practices and will open a door for initiating bigger charity and environmental causes.
Meanwhile, a key company focus remained the strategy of attracting talent and inspiring their ceaseless development. Accedia joined the AWS Partner Network to recognize the team’s cloud enablement expertise and launched blog writing workshops to encourage aspiring thought leaders to share know-how. To provide clarity and direction to each team member and align their efforts with the company’s goals, the HR team has also inculcated the Objective and Key Results (OKRs) methodology. Тhis innovative goal-setting approach put each team member in the leading role which has increased productivity and team engagement by 20%.
During 2017, Accedia has also implemented a number of communication improvements. Taking team feedback and suggestions into account, the company integrated new channels, such as the Microsoft Teams collaboration tool. In addition, Accedia has also implemented internal Newsletter mobile app, aiming to help employees learn information faster and make it easily accessible.
Another newly developed company tool is HelpMe – mobile application, designed to further aid knowledge-sharing across all departments.
Overall, the year of 2017 was a year of driving innovation – starting from the automation of the entire process of obtaining feedback to the launch of Accedia Innovation Development Center (IDC), inspiring skills development beyond one’s job characteristics. The successful completion of Season 2 was marked in early 2018 and outlined a higher level of team participation – achieved through strong mentor support and side initiatives like the IDC Event Series. At the same time, addressing constructive feedback from team and customers in a timely manner is what enabled never-ending improvement.
