AUL was awarded System and Organization controls (SOC) 2 Type II designation for the second year in a row in 2017. With privacy and security of data becoming increasingly important, SOC 2 compliance demonstrates AUL has industry leading controls in its data systems, technologies, and processes. AUL also encourages its employees to take a leadership role in the industry at large. Agent Summit requested that AUL CEO Jimmy Atkinson be the Keynote Speaker at their national conference in early 2018. Operations executive Scott Smith was a panelist at the P&A Leadership Summit in 2017. AUL’s Jason Garner was named among the Auto Industry’s ‘Whose Who’ by Agent Entrepreneur Magazine in 2017, a leading national industry publication.
AUL’s culture and growth enabled the firm to recruit and hire new executive team members in 2017 and early 2018, including a new CIO, CFO and Central Region Business Development Manager.
The company’s excellent work ethic hasn’t gone unnoticed in the industry, as AUL won a Gold Dealer’s Choice Award in June 2017, the fourth consecutive year from Auto Dealers Today. In mid-2018, AUL did that one better by earning a Platinum Dealer’s Choice Award.
