Organizations are absorbing needless expenses and employee dissatisfaction because their employees don’t understand how to function in today’s changing legal and regulatory environment. Our Workplace Compliance library teaches both the employer and the employee how to "stay within the lines" and avoid the problems of workplace compliance.

At ej4 we believe everyone deserves the right to work in a safe and harassment free environment.

All of an organization’s employees are responsible for achieving that; not just the legal team, the human resources team, and management. That’s why our library covers a broad range of employment law including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA and ADAAA) to name a few. Our programs focus on defining the law in laymen’s terms, showing how it applies to the workplace, how to correct issues when they arise, and provide real world examples of these issues. The examples we use are not cheesy distractions that are commonly found in other training videos.

Our library also contains an Anti-Harassment series, Understanding Harassment series, and State Specific Anti-Harassment Training (California, Maine, Connecticut). We understand some employers require this training to be completed on an annual basis. That’s why we continually update our content so learners are engaged and learning and not just “going through the motions”.

The programs and series in our Workplace Compliance library are complex legal topics. It can be a lot for a learner to process. That’s why we break our topics down into smaller, bite-size programs.

Instead of watching an hour and a half video on one subject, topics are broken up into series of short-form videos that appeal to the learner’s short attention spans (now shorter than a goldfish). Our approach helps the learner focus on a few learning points at a time. In addition, we provide a manager version and an employee version to make sure each group is getting just the right information they need.

We also provide training on additional employment best practices to such as Legally Hiring, Conducting Background Checks, Workplace Violence, Workplace Bullying, and Substance Abuse to name a few.

It’s important to follow up and reinforce learning points. We understand Compliance training isn’t a “shot in the arm.” That’s why our programs come with follow up materials that we call 4tify Your Learning™. After a program is watched it triggers the system to send an exam question 2 days later, a new question 2 weeks later, a new question at 2 months, and then a final exam question accompanied by a short video summary of the entire course at 4 months. This helps the learner move the information from short-term over to their long-term memory.

On an annual basis, ej4 reviews our content library to see what needs to be added or updated.New information is constantly available because of the Internet, media, books and magazines, and even our everyday conversations. This year we’re releasing new programs to our Compliance topic, California Time and Labor, Equal Pay Act, and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA). We’ll also add a program around the ADA People First initiative and another regarding the change in the I9 Employment Verification form. By the end of 2017 our Anti-Harassment series, Understanding Harassment series, and State specific antiharassment series will be available in Spanish as well.

We believe training should be fun; even compliance training! We’re born with the innate desire for things to be visually appealing; evidence lies in our need for shiny iPhones and sleek-looking cars.
