UST Global is a leading digital services organization providing powerful solutions to Global 1000 companies. Attracting talented employees since 1999, the year it was established, this technology company based in California, believes in Transforming Lives. This philosophy which has nourished the company’s business model for the last 17 years is at the core of Life at UST.

The employee community in UST feels strongly connected to the memorable experiences they cherish during their life at UST. The HR Team believes in providing a unique and differentiated employee experience to all at UST.

One of the most memorable experiences of 2016 was D3, UST’s first ever Developer Conference. Curated around the theme of AI and designed to “Dream, Develop, Disrupt”, the DevCon brought together the company’s 2000 top technologists from all over the world to Trivandrum, India, the venue of D3.

We applied Design Thinking principles through our unique “Design for Happiness” concept to many initiatives to accentuate employee experience. The company’s focus was always on our customers, our people, our partners and the community we operate in. Our human centered design principles revolve around these core areas.

HR’s unique and innovative platform for acquiring quality talent by involving our own employees in the process is an example. Through our unique employee referral program, LinkUs, employees play a significant role in sourcing talent. This program helped us source 38% of the total external hires in 2016, guaranteeing higher employee retention and a strong cultural fit.

UST Global has made significant efforts in the inclusion of digital tools and platforms for team collaboration. UST is one of the few companies globally that has incorporated Workplace by Facebook as a vital part of employee engagement. Workplace has reinforced the open and transparent culture of the company. A collaborative performance evaluation app has also been developed in-house, which helps employees with team collaboration and productivity.

YgualeX, a digital platform created by our employees in UST Spain, takes its name from the Spanish 'igual' 'equal' or 'same', connects the world to speak up against gender violence. The 'Y' and the 'X' signify the dual role played by both men and women in this. The innovative initiative involves all society, associations, institutions, security forces, justice, and media through digital solutions for awareness and engagement against gender violence.

The Internal communications team part of HR, plays a vital part in connecting and inspiring employees worldwide. A daily newsletter is sent to all UST centers across the world. Internal communications also handles creates podcasts, webinars, video series that highlight the best talents, teams who have made innovative solutions, etc. The employees have an opportunity to listen to and interact with subject matter experts. There is thus a highly exciting environment for the employees to grow and better themselves.

Colors, our unique employee engagement platform based on the premise of passion and voluntarism focuses on providing our associates with opportunities for holistic and multi-faceted development. The program comprises seven teams (signified by different colors) representing various organizational dimensions. Through Colors, UST is able to reaffirm a sense of belongingness in our associates to go the extra mile by contributing outside the realms of their daily work. This platform is today an industry-recognized engagement and retention initiative.

At UST, HR provides various state-of-the-art, digital, learning solutions to the entire employee community ensuring their continuous learning. As part of this, employees have access to leading platforms like Lynda or LinkedIn Learning, Pluralsight, edX and Coursera.
