Frankie DiCarlantonio, Director of Business Operations

Frankie is the Director of Business Operations of the Scaffidi Restaurant Group, his family’s business, which he has helped advance from a small, home-like setting restaurant to a multi-faceted food service industry over nine years. Under his management, the business has seen consistent growth each and every year. Frankie is also a business consultant under his company, DiCar Consulting, which specializes in new business start-ups and expansions.

Frankie is both a business professional and a community leader. Aside from his business ventures, Frankie is deeply involved with the community around him, serving on a multitude of boards, committees, and commissions throughout the Ohio River Valley Area. He is Chairman of the Jefferson County Democratic Party, and is the youngest Democratic Chairman in the State of Ohio. Frankie also serves Steubenville as a representative to the Metropolitan Planning Commission, an organization that oversees all state and federal road and transportation projects throughout a span of three counties in two states. Aside from his political and civic contributions, Frankie is involved in 14 other boards.

Because of his rich heritage, Frankie is proud to serve as the President of the Italian-American Cultural Club of Steubenville. This organization provides scholarships and other stewardships to organizations throughout the Ohio Valley.

Quite often, Frankie is quoted as saying “It is a joy to serve the community that has served me so well in my lifetime.” Frankie has been recognized many times for his contributions to his community, most recently being named “Jefferson County’s Young Professional of the Year.”"It is an honor to be the chair of the Human Resources Achievement Awards categories for the 2018 Stevie Awards for Great Employers,” Frankie told us. “The awards highlight the great human resources achievements that individuals and organizations make so that they truly are great employers for their most valuable asset: their employees."

Dr. Shadiya Mohamed Baqutayan is a psychologist, who earned the degree and master from International Islamic University (IIUM) in counseling and clinical psychology, and the PhD was from University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Psychology (stress Management). Licensed counselor from Malaysian Psychotherapy Association (MPA/PM 1-127).  Currently, she is working as a senior lecturer at University Technology Malaysia. She published more than 80 articles and proceeding in Scopus and H-index Journal on counseling, psychology, management, leadership, innovation, and public health; with citations of about 187 since 2011. She is associated with local and international memberships as American Psychological Association (APA) (USA & Canada), Malaysian Psychotherapy Association (MPA), American Association Of International Researchers (AAIR) (New York, USA), and Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological& Environmental Engineering Society (Hong Kong, USA, China). She received a training course on STI Policy from “University of Manchester” 2014, and she received professional certificate of STI policy Management with an Excellent Pass from UTM Perdana-ISTIC
